Our commitment

mypinio GmbH wants everyone to be able to use mypinio, regardless of ability or the device and assistive technology they use. We design and build our pages against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, which is also the basis of the European standard EN 301 549.

Scope

This statement covers:

  • the mypinio community at community.mypinio.com, including the mobile apps, which show the same pages,
  • our website www.mypinio.com,
  • our business website mypinioresearch.com,
  • the pages that guide members into a survey (questions about you, security check, return pages).

The portals for business customers serve companies only. We apply the same standard to them voluntarily.

mypinio GmbH is a microenterprise (fewer than 10 employees and an annual turnover or balance sheet total of no more than EUR 2 million). For services, microenterprises are exempt from the obligations of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG, § 3 (3)), which implements the European Accessibility Act. We nevertheless follow WCAG 2.2 AA voluntarily and treat it as a release criterion for new features.

What we do

  • Clear page structure with headings, landmarks and the page language set for screen readers.
  • A "Skip to content" link as the first stop when you navigate with the keyboard.
  • Keyboard operation of our own pages, with a visible focus indicator. The date-of-birth selector works with the arrow keys.
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 in light and dark mode.
  • Animations are reduced or switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Form fields have labels, and error messages are announced by screen readers.
  • No time limits on our own pages.
  • Our security check runs in the background, without visual puzzles.

Known limitations

  • Surveys of our research clients. The surveys you open from the survey list are created and hosted by our research clients on their own websites. We do not develop or control them, so their accessibility can vary. If a survey is not accessible to you, please tell us. It helps us and the client.
  • Older content. Some older articles and help texts may not yet meet every criterion. We update them step by step.

How we checked

This statement is based on our own assessment of the code and design, and automated checks of core pages as part of our release checks. We have not commissioned an external audit.
